Pedaling forward with Silver Lane🚲

On September 18th, BPS joined Silver Lane Elementary School in East Hartford for a morning dedicated to getting kids excited about riding their bikes to school. We were thrilled to share the day with several UConn women’s basketball players (pictured: Kayleigh Heckel, Morgan Cheli, Ashlynn Shade, and Allie Ziebell), and with Mayor Connor Martin, whose leadership helped make the event possible.

Seeing so many young riders (and a few Huskies!) cheering each other on was a reminder of why we love being part of this community.

At BPS, our work goes beyond the office. We believe in showing up for the neighborhoods we serve, supporting healthy habits, and investing in the next generation.

Thank you to Silver Lane School, the teachers, families, and everyone who helped make the day a success.

Welcome aboard, Attorney Lamaj! 💼

Brian Lamaj recently joined us as a member of the Commercial Law and Real Estate Departments in our Glastonbury office.

Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Lamaj represented municipal entities and property owners in land use and municipal law matters, including appeals of planning and zoning commission and zoning board of appeals decisions, and zoning enforcement actions.

Attorney Lamaj is admitted to practice in Connecticut and serves as Membership Director of the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. He is also a member of the Hartford County Bar Association. He graduated cm laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

We are so excited to announce the addition of Attorney April R. Merchant to the firm’s Glastonbury office!

Attorney Merchant earned her bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and her Juris Doctorate Degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2018. She brings her vast experience in estate planning, probate litigation, trust administration and elder law to BPS.

Attorney Merchant is licensed to practice law in Connecticut at the state and federal district court levels and the Supreme Court of the United States.
