BIG NEWS! Not ONE but TWO Bowl Games that you'll want to save the date for! The first bowl game will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 15, with kickoff scheduled for 8 PM CST. The matchup will be nationally televised on ESPN.

The 2026 Frisco Bowl will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 23. This will be the 9th edition of the Frisco Bowl, which began in 2017. By partnering with Ford Center at The Star, one of the premier football destinations in the country, the Bowl remains rooted in Frisco while providing fans, student-athletes, and coaches with a first-class, climate-controlled experience. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 PM CST, with the game nationally televised on ESPN.

It was an honor to join so many of our partners across Frisco today for the Firefly Park groundbreaking.

Congratulations to the entire Firefly Park and Wilks Development team on this incredible milestone. As our Board Chair and others mentioned today, projects like this represent much more than buildings going vertical; they represent vision, investment, and opportunity for the future of our community. We can't wait to see this remarkable destination come to life.

Congratulations to Dr. Bob Collins on an incredible 41 years of service to Collin College and our region. His leadership and vision have helped shape opportunities for countless students and strengthen the future workforce across Frisco and surrounding communities.

Collin College has been an outstanding partner in education and workforce development, and Dr. Collins’ legacy will continue to impact generations to come. Thank you for your dedication and service to our community.

After 41 years of service as a founding member of the Collin College Board of Trustees, Dr. J. Robert “Bob” Collins is retiring. A resident of Farmersville, Dr. Collins served the college in numerous leadership capacities at Collin College, including chair of the Board of Trustees and chair of the Organization, Education, and Policy Committee. Tonight marked the first Frisco Talent Experience get-together, and our Frisco Young Professionals are leading the charge to help college interns experience everything that makes Frisco such a great place to live, work, and build a future.

From making connections to exploring some of Frisco’s best spots, this initiative is all about helping interns feel connected to our community today so they’ll choose Frisco as home tomorrow.

A special thank you to Mayor Jeff Cheney and Laura Rummel, Frisco City Council Place 5, and Ann Anderson, Frisco City Council Place 1, for stopping by to personally welcome Frisco’s newest interns and future workforce leaders. We’re excited to show them what makes Frisco so special. We couldn't do this without our many program supporters, including the Frisco TX EDC, Altair Global Garver Haskell UNT at Frisco CohnReznick CORE Plug and Play Tech Center Texas Regional Bank, TIAA, and lastly, thanks to the Anchor Bar - Frisco, TX for hosting us tonight.

The registration deadline for PGA VendorMatch has been extended for one final week, giving businesses additional time to register for the opportunity to potentially become suppliers for the upcoming PGA Championship events, including the 2027 PGA Championship in Texas, the Senior PGA Championship in Florida, and the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in Maryland.

New registration deadline: June 3, 2026.

How PGA VendorMatch Works:
1) Interested suppliers must register by June 3, 2026, for consideration.
2) Selected suppliers will be contacted to schedule meetings with the PGA or its major supplier to occur in-person in August (Frisco, TX) or virtually in September.
3) After the meetings, the PGA or its Prime Suppliers will notify vendors who have been selected to provide goods and/or services.

The PGA of America is seeking suppliers across 19 key categories for the 2026 PGA Championship and KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Register by June 3, 2025.
