Coming out of Labor Day weekend, I always think about all the work we do that never really gets a holiday.

The work of raising kids. Caring for aging parents. Keeping a household running. Showing up for the people who count on you. Managing the school schedules, doctor appointments, family decisions, bills, meals, emotions, and everything in between. So much of family life is built on quiet, daily acts of responsibility that can sometimes overwhelm even those of us who project like we ""have it together"" all the time.

Estate planning is one of those acts, too. It may not feel urgent on an ordinary Tuesday, but it is one of the ways we care for the people who depend on us. A good plan can make sure your children are protected, your loved ones have guidance, and the people you trust are able to step in if life takes an unexpected turn.

To me, estate planning is not just legal work. It is family work. And like so many important things we do for the people we love, it matters most when they need it most. And that care never takes a holiday.
