Military pay, VA home loans and benefits: here is what changed this month.

• The 2027 pay raise is set: 7, 6 or 5 percent by pay grade, starting January 1. The 2027 BAH rates are not out yet.
• A VA home loan is not a one-time benefit. In many cases, a veteran can keep their home and use a VA loan to buy the next one. VA shows the math.
• VA does not mail or email loan offers. If an ad looks like it came from VA, it did not.
• Records lost in the 1973 fire? VA made those claims easier. VA says not to wait, even if you were turned down before.
