We are thrilled to announce that our very own Kao Lee has accepted a partnership position with Payne Law Firm! 🎊

Kao, affectionately known around here as our "prosecutor whisperer," brings an incredible wealth of experience to the table. With a background as a prosecuting attorney and extensive experience in felony defense, she has an uncanny ability to win cases that leave the rest of us in awe.

Her diligence, organization, and meticulous nature make her one of the most thorough attorneys we've ever had the pleasure of working with. Kao is not only a tenacious advocate for our clients but also a beloved member of our team, and she brings joy and positivity to our workplace every day.

When she's not working her magic in the courtroom, Kao is exploring the world! She's been everywhere from Singapore and Japan to South Korea, Brazil, and Fiji. Her adventurous spirit and wealth of experiences add a unique and inspiring dynamic to our team.

…and Ta-Dah! Welcome Ms. Kao Lee to the team! I am thrilled to have Kao as the newest member of the Payne Law Firm team. (As Kao explains, it’s pronounced like the first part of Cauliflower—when Triniti and Caroline saw that, they said she’d be a great fit from the start!).

Kao was formerly a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Fayetteville (but we don’t hold that against her anymore), and she joins us already very well equipped and acquainted with what we do here and how our district and circuit court systems work. She is, without question, a massive pickup for our team and the client-centered law firm that we are building.

Legend has it that she’s played some pretty massive pranks on the judge when they worked in the same office. But, I don’t want to spoil all the surprises—she can share that part the next time we get you into the office. I'm proud (and incredibly happy) to announce that we've got a new home! Payne Law Firm now lives at:

100 West Center Street, Ste 303
Fayetteville, Arkansas 72702
(Top floor looking at Old Main)

Our signs are still being installed, but we're all moved in (pending some new furniture). Housewarming party TBD once the world opens back up.

Once again, I'm speechless. Thank you so much for being such an important part of our team. I'm incredibly proud of the work that we get to do on your behalf.

The legendary Anthony Palacios (pictured here with yours truly) is a nationally renowned Field Sobriety Test practitioner, speaker, and instructor who has trained thousands of law enforcement officers in the standardized field sobriety tests.

Today and this weekend, I'm off in Atlanta, Georgia with 19 other attorneys from across the country for a conference on the most recently released and revised version of NHTSA's standardized field sobriety manual.

This is the exact same training and certification that law enforcement officers receive throughout the nation on NHTSA's field sobriety tests. It's some pretty exciting stuff, and I'm proud to be bringing it to bat for you!
