Growth is not always limited by demand.

For many estate planning firms, the real constraint is capacity. When the owner remains involved in every decision, client matter, and internal issue, the firm can only grow so far.

The better question may not be, “How do we attract more clients?”

When an estate planning firm feels overwhelmed, the instinct is often to hire another attorney. But that is not always the right first move.

Before adding another lawyer, ask where the backlog is actually coming from. If attorney, only work is creating the constraint, another attorney may be the answer. If not, stronger support, clearer systems, and better delegation may create capacity faster and at a lower cost.

Tom explored this and other practical growth decisions during his recent appearance on the TBN Speaker Series.

EPiC Peer Group meetings bring estate planning law firm owners together to step away from the day-to-day, share candid insights, challenge one another, and build stronger businesses.

These photos capture an important part of the experience: meaningful conversations, trusted relationships, fresh perspectives, and time together beyond the meeting room.

Members gain more than ideas. They gain an advisory board of peers who understand the opportunities and challenges of leading an estate planning practice and who provide the accountability to turn plans into action.

Hiring a team does not always mean the firm is operating like a real business.
