It’s fun when people ask about these knucklehead Packgoats of mine. Conversation usually starts out with disbelieve and a bit of confusion, then is rapidly followed up with excitement and laughter! They are tough as nails, strong, and can out hike most guys I know even when they are loaded up.

These boys have burrowed their way into our lives and hearts - sounds corny but they really have. We have dogs and cats, and honestly I’d take a goat over either of those. They are loyal, sweet, low maintenance, and best of all they carry my stuff in the backcountry - I don’t see a dog doing that!

We just got back from a busted bear hunt, but was able to get a new packer out (Echo) along with a younger goat (Groot) that we have had since birth. It was a pretty special hunt even though we didn’t come home with a bear - seeing those two grow up a bit was rad.

Can’t wait for the next trip. 🐐 🐻

When we bought this place we knew it wasn’t quite right. It was listed as a luxury property and we knew it could be better. The kitchen was the biggest issue so we jumped on it immediately after the holidays were behind us!

After living here for three months we are making headway. The entire main floor will be touched and wrapped up in a month or so (we are very excited to have a kitchen again)!

We aren’t finished yet but the transformation is fun and we enjoy sharing our ride. Almost there .bethie !
