City of El Cajon Public Safety Center, an ABC San Diego Award Project

Congratulations to Ledcor Construction Inc. on their 2011 ABC San Diego Merit Award winning project; City of El Cajon Public Safety Center.

This state of the art facility includes administrative and operational space for all police divisions including a modern communication and dispatch center, emergency operations center, indoor lead free gun range, and more. The project is LEED Gold certified with the use of energy efficient equipment installed throughout the building. Unique challenges included the uncovering of hazardous materials

during excavation and extreme rainy conditions that impacted the project schedule. Ledcor implemented quality control management to produce a highly-technical project that was built ahead of schedule and now provides the law enforcement of El Cajon with the upgraded facilities needed to better the community and efficiency of the law enforcement.
