April is Limb-Difference and Limb-Loss Awareness Month — a time to lift up voices, celebrate resilience, and spread awareness.
This week, my brother Sam Kuhnert was featured in The Southern for giving a powerful speech about NubAbility Athletics, the nonprofit he founded to coach limb-different kids in sports — and in life.
He spoke about something we’ve seen over and over: the incredible impact of mentorship. When a child sees someone who looks like them, who gets it, who’s faced similar challenges and still thrives — it changes everything. We’ve watched it happen hundreds, if not thousands, of times. And every single one matters.
I’m so proud of the work Sam is doing to build this community and raise awareness — not just this month, but every day.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s keep showing up.
What if the very thing the world saw as a limitation became the reason hundreds of kids found their strength? That’s the motivation behind NubAbility Athletics, a nonprofit changing the lives
