👏 Congratulations to NTL Civil Plaintiff Top 100 Executive Committee Member Brian Panish on securing a landmark $176 million verdict on behalf of his clients.

A Los Angeles County jury awarded the verdict to the family of two young brothers who were tragically killed in a 2020 hit-and-run crash while crossing the street with their mother. After two days of deliberations, the jury found Rebecca Grossman and former professional baseball player Scott Erickson negligent in the deaths of the two boys.

The verdict currently stands at $176 million, with the potential for additional damages pending the jury's decision on punitive damages.

This result reflects the dedication, advocacy, and relentless pursuit of justice that define the members of The National Trial Lawyers.

A powerhouse in environmental and toxic tort litigation, Lisa Blue has built a legacy defined by leadership, excellence, and impact. ⚖️✨

As partner alongside her late husband Fred Baron at Baron & Budd — once the largest environmental law firm in the United States — Lisa helped lead a nationally recognized practice while overseeing more than 800 employees and managing the firm’s financial operations.

Her remarkable career includes being named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America, one of the Top 50 Women Litigators in the U.S. by National Law Journal, serving as President of the American Association for Justice (2014–2015), and being inducted into the National Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 2015.

Before becoming one of the nation’s most respected trial lawyers, Lisa earned multiple advanced degrees in Counseling Psychology before pursuing law. She later prosecuted more than 125 cases to verdict in the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office before advancing to the Organized Crime Division.
