How do you spend your lunch break when the workload has been heavy?

Today, the McGowan Firm escaped to Dothan Nurseries… and it was exactly what we needed. From the butterfly garden to the dreamy plants (and the sweetest little shop kitty cats), it’s truly a gem.

Our firm is growing!

McGowan Firm is looking for a friendly, dependable Legal Secretary/Receptionist to join our team. We’re a laid-back but fast-paced law office, and we need someone who can keep things organized while helping our clients feel welcome from the moment they walk in.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Greeting clients and making them feel comfortable
Answering and directing phone calls
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Managing attorney calendars
Assisting with light legal assistant tasks
Organizing files, scanning, and general office duties

What We’re Looking For:
Professional but personable
Organized and able to multitask
Comfortable working in a busy environment
Good communication skills
Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
Prior office experience required; legal experience is a plus but not required

We work hard, move quickly, and value teamwork... but we also keep a relaxed atmosphere. If you’re someone who enjoys staying busy and being part of a close-knit office, we’d love to hear from you.
