I added a graphic that gives some details of how the Trump Accounts work.

July 4th is the expected day the accounts will officially start.

If you didn't submit form4547 to enroll your kids in a Trump Account you can still do so online or by mail.

In the last few days I have been reached by several clients receiving IRS notice CP53E. Keep in mind that scammers are also aware that the IRS is sending these notices and they are trying to collect your bank account information. Never click on any links or scan QR codes. Also remember the IRS never sends emails or text messages. If you have questions call the IRS directly or set up an account at IRS.gov.

Accounting firms are seeing an increase in scams involving the notices the IRS is sending to taxpayers when they don't provide their direct deposit information.
