McKeen & Associates recently celebrated the retirement of attorney J. Kelly Carley with a dinner party at Cantoro’s in Plymouth.

Kelly brought more than 30 years of legal experience to our firm, including 13 years with McKeen & Associates specializing in medical malpractice and maritime accident litigation. Early in his career, he represented hospitals and physicians, giving him invaluable insight that helped him advocate for victims of negligence for the past two decades.

We are grateful for Kelly’s dedication, knowledge, and commitment to his clients and colleagues throughout his distinguished career. Congratulations on your retirement, Kelly, and best wishes on this next chapter!

An unforgettable evening celebrating an extraordinary artist and living icon!

Last night, Brian McKeen was honored to attend the 99th birthday celebration for legendary Detroit-based Canadian sculptor and painter Artis Lane, hosted by art gallery Collected Detroit. A passionate collector of socially relevant art, Brian proudly owns one of Lane’s powerful Rosa Parks sculptures, a fitting tribute to an artist whose work has helped shape America’s cultural and historical landscape.

Lane’s sculpture of Rosa Parks was displayed in the Oval Office during the Biden administration, and her bronze bust of Sojourner Truth in Emancipation Hall at the Capitol Visitor Center made history as the first sculpture of a Black woman in the U.S. Capitol. Her remarkable career also includes commissioned portraits of Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, and President Barack and Michelle Obama, among many others.
