The Denton County Bar Association is currently comprised of approximately 300 lawyers who meet the criteria of being a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and have paid their annual local dues. 73 of its members hold 95 Board Certifications in a field of specialization, one of the highest per capita proportions of Board Certifications of any county bar association in the State of T

exas. The Denton County Bar Association also has a Family Law Section of approximately seventy members, a Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section of approximately thirty members, a Denton County Trial Lawyers Association, and not directly a section of the Denton County Bar Association but made up of many members of the Denton County Bar Association are the Collaborative Family Lawyers of Denton County, the Greater Denton County Young Lawyers Association, and the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers.
