πŸ’Ό **Your work history matters when applying for disability benefits.**

When Social Security evaluates an SSDI or SSI claim, your medical condition is only part of the picture. They may also consider the type of work you've done in the past, the skills you've developed, and whether your condition limits your ability to perform past work or adjust to other work.

That's why providing accurate and detailed information about your employment history can be an important part of your claim.

Have questions about how your work history could affect your case? Tuggle & Lichtenberger can help.

πŸ₯ Your Medical Records Tell Your Story

When applying for Social Security Disability benefits, consistent medical treatment can play an important role in your claim.

Regular appointments help document your condition, show how it affects your daily life, and provide the medical evidence Social Security uses when evaluating your case.

If you're pursuing disability benefits, keeping up with recommended medical care can make a meaningful difference.

Have questions about your claim? Tuggle & Lichtenberger is here to help.

βš–οΈ Going to a disability hearing? You should have an attorney with you.

Some people believe they are so obviously disabled that they don't need an attorney at their hearing. The reality is that going into a disability hearing without representation can put your case at a disadvantage.

We have recently reviewed cases where people went to their hearings without an attorney, were denied, and then came to us for help afterward. Unfortunately, some of the damage done at the hearing without an attorney can't be fixed after the fact.

Whether you choose Tuggle & Lichtenberger or another competent disability attorney, we strongly recommend having an attorney represent you at your hearing.

Don't assume your case is strong enough to go it alone. Get representation before the hearing, not after.

This month's question:
What should I do if my disability application is denied?

Receiving a denial doesn't always mean your case is over. In this month's Q&A, Dave and Todd explain why many medical denials can still be appealed, when an attorney may be able to help, and why some denials involving work credits are handled differently.

Watch this month's video to learn more, and if you have questions about your own situation, we're here to help.

⏳ Did You Know?

The Social Security disability process can take time, but certain issues may cause additional delays.

Missing medical records, incomplete paperwork, or requests for additional information can all slow the review of a claim. Responding promptly and providing complete documentation can help keep your application moving forward.

Having experienced legal guidance can also help ensure your claim is organized and supported from the beginning.

If you have questions about the disability application process, Tuggle & Lichtenberger is here to help.

⏰ Deadlines matter when it comes to Social Security Disability and SSI claims.

If your application is denied, you only have a limited amount of time to file an appeal. Missing that deadline could mean starting the process over from the beginning, resulting in additional delays and frustration.

Understanding the timeline and responding promptly to notices from Social Security can help protect your rights and keep your claim moving forward.

If you have questions about an appeal or an upcoming deadline, we are here to help.
