Last Wednesday, May 27, Ventura Law was proud to be part of the sponsorship team for the 17th Annual Danbury War Memorial Golf Tournament.

As a local law firm serving Danbury and communities throughout Connecticut, we are grateful for opportunities to support organizations that make a meaningful impact. The Danbury War Memorial, operating under the motto "To Honor the Dead, To Serve the Living," continues to provide valuable recreational, educational, and community programs while honoring those who served our country.

We were honored to sponsor a tee sign at this year's tournament and to stand alongside fellow local businesses and community leaders in support of this incredible organization.

At the heart of our mission is a passion for helping our clients and the community—a value that Shelley lives out every single day. Whether settling cases and seeing clients’ faces light up with smiles or volunteering in the community, her dedication to service is unmatched.

This past year, that dedication was put to the ultimate test. In February 2025, Shelley’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Grateful for the flexibility of remote work, she was able to remain by her mom's side through every appointment and surgery, and throughout recovery. It was a journey that was both mentally and physically exhausting, yet Shelley continued to thrive professionally while providing the "healing power" of family presence. In March 2026, everything paid off; Shelley’s mother officially rang the bell! Shelley credits this success to a supportive, family-oriented work atmosphere and a team that provided trust and compassion when it was needed most.

We are so proud to have someone on our team who balances professional excellence with such a deep commitment to family and community.

Ventura Law was honored to participate in Whisconier Middle School’s 7th Grade Career Fair on May 20, 2026, in Brookfield, Connecticut. Attorney Rute Mendes Caetano spoke with students about careers in law, the importance of advocacy, and the educational journey to becoming an attorney.

Events like these provide valuable opportunities to encourage students as they begin exploring their future career paths and interests. Ventura Law is proud to support educational initiatives and community engagement across Connecticut.

Last week was a meaningful one for the Ventura Law family as our sponsored fighters, Regivaldo Carvalho and Aline Pereira, both stepped into the cage to continue pursuing their dreams.

On May 15, Regivaldo Carvalho fought with the same resilience, discipline, and determination that have shaped his journey from Brazil to building a life and career here in the United States. While the outcome wasn’t what he hoped for, we could not be prouder of the dedication and sacrifice he continues to show every single day.

Then on May 16, Aline Pereira earned an impressive victory and showcased the incredible athleticism and hard work that continues to make her one of the rising talents in MMA. Her commitment to her craft and her connection to the Danbury community make her journey especially inspiring to us.

At Ventura Law, we believe in supporting real people with real stories. Regivaldo and Aline embody perseverance, ambition, and the willingness to fight for a better future. Those values mirror the experiences of so many of the clients and families we proudly serve throughout Connecticut.

As they continue making names for themselves in the MMA world, they are also helping put Danbury on the map and representing the local Brazilian community with pride.

Last Thursday, Attorney Joanna Haddad attended the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association’s Annual Meeting Dinner, an evening dedicated to celebrating leadership, service, and the strong relationships within Connecticut’s legal community.

The evening marked the conclusion of Joanna’s second term serving on the GBBA Board of Directors. She attended the event with her husband and was also pictured with Attorney Charleen Merced Agosto, Past President of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.

The event brought together attorneys, judges, and legal professionals from across Fairfield County for a night of meaningful connections, recognition of professional excellence, and celebration of the legal community.
