Congratulations to our client, a dedicated Fort Worth Police Officer, who was reinstated after a civil service appeal.
In this case, an OIS occurred following the pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested and later convicted. The officer’s OIS was cleared (no billed) by a grand jury; however, the police chief then chose to terminate him, claiming he used excessive force. The police chief quickly issued a press release about the termination and his claims of excessive force. The police officer immediately appealed this unjust termination.
Following a civil service hearing, all excessive force charges were thrown out, and the officer was reinstated with full back pay. We are eagerly awaiting the police chief’s press release advising of this new development.
