A difficult family situation does not always need to become a criminal case.

Our client was just 20 years old when an incident at home led to an allegation of family violence assault. Her father called the police, but never intended for his daughter to be arrested or prosecuted. He ultimately signed an affidavit of non-prosecution, and we worked to make sure the District Attorney’s Office understood the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The case was rejected, allowing our young client to move forward without a criminal prosecution.

Every case has a story. Making sure that story is heard can make all the difference.
