Starting October 16, 2026, USCIS's annual inflation adjustment raises several fees that affect our community directly: the asylum application fee rises from $102 to $105, the initial Employment Authorization Document (Form I-765, used by asylum applicants, parolees and TPS holders) from $560 to $570, Temporary Protected Status (Form I-821) from $510 to $520, and immigration parole (Form I-131) from $1,020 to $1,050. USCIS says it will reject filings postmarked on or after October 16 if they don't include the new, higher fee — so if your paperwork is ready now, filing before the 16th locks in the current rate.
