Brad Flack built a flooring company from the ground up in Cu***ng, Georgia and his take on business planning was spot on.

He says it's exactly like curling. You throw your shot down the ice and then you just keep sweeping. Every small decision after that is what actually gets it to the target.

NEW EPISODE IS LIVE.

This week we sat down with Brad Flack, founder of Flack's Flooring right here in Forsyth County, and we were not ready for how good this conversation was going to be.

34 years in business. Started with a half-inch classified ad, a building nobody could find from the road, and used carpet he bought out of strangers' vans by having his dad stick his head in and smell for cat p*e.

No joke.

Brad walks us through the whole journey. Starting Carpet Depot out of Decatur in 1992 with zero employees and no backup plan. Growing to six locations. Losing his business partner and best friend Mike to a sudden aortic aneurysm at 41 years old. Making the move to Forsyth County. And eventually putting his own name on the door with Flack's Flooring and Rugs.

He also talks about his kids all working in the business now, five generations of flooring in his family, why he got involved with Young Life and CASA, and the best business analogy we have ever heard on this show involving the sport of curling.

This one is worth your time.

Tag someone who needs to hear Brad's story.

His friend said 'why in the hell would you want to help him?' Republican running for state senate in Athens, Georgia. Seemed pointless. Then he won.

Most lumber yards just resell what they buy. Thomas Lumber Company in Cu***ng GA still runs a sawmill and turns raw boards into finished shiplap paneling. There's a difference between a lumber yard and a remanufacturer.

Tim Fleming is running for Georgia Secretary of State and he has a clear position on the voting system debate. Over 70% of the United States already votes on hand marked paper ballots. Florida implemented it years ago and is considered the gold standard. Tim says Georgia needs to get there too.

Less expensive than statewide machine systems. More secure. More trusted.

You never know who you might run into to in Wroclaw, Poland.
received a little leave, so hopped on a flight for a weekend rendezvous. Good to have the team back together!

Tim Fleming has served in the Georgia Secretary of State's office, managed a governor's race, and now sits in the State House. The number one complaint he gets from constituents? The Secretary of State's office does not answer the phone or respond to emails.

His day one priority if elected: fix that.

New episode of the Bettis Musgrove Show is live.

Most people hear Secretary of State and either think elections or have no idea what the office actually does. Today's guest knows that office better than almost anyone in the state.

We sat down with Tim Fleming, Georgia State House Representative, small business owner, and candidate for Georgia Secretary of State. Tim is not starting from scratch. He spent years inside that office under Brian Kemp, worked his way up to
Deputy Secretary of State, managed the 2018 governor's race, and served as Governor Kemp's first Chief of Staff. Now he wants to run the agency he helped build.

We talk about what the Secretary of State actually does every day, why the professional licensing backlog is forcing real Georgians into impossible situations, where Georgia is headed on elections and paper ballots, and how a trip to a College Republican meeting at UGA in 2002 changed the entire direction of his life.

We also get into Vampire Diaries tourism in Covington, Dukes of Hazard on the square, Troy Aikman starter jackets, and a lot in between.

Note: This is not a political endorsement. We just like talking to interesting people doing interesting things.
