We received a special delivery at Hunter Law today on behalf of Cromwell! We were absolutely delighted to be the recipient of a vintage postcard from the famous Lowell Joerg, also known as "The Postcard Man," all the way from Stockton, California! Mr. Joerg, a remarkable 97-year-old retiree, has dedicated over 60 years to a truly heartwarming hobby: finding old postcards and mailing them back to the places or people they depict. He started this unique passion after finding a postcard in a Minnesota antique store and now describes his mission as "redistributing happiness." Our postcard, a charming piece of history, shows two men canoeing at "The Meadows." It's incredible to think of the journey this postcard, postmarked September 24, 1906, has taken and the stories it could tell! Thank you, Mr. Joerg, for this wonderful connection to the past and for reminding us of the joy in unexpected discoveries.

Headline: Watch Your Closing Disclosure for "Junk Fees" 🏠⚖️Buying a home is expensive enough without unnecessary add-ons. If you see a generic "Technology Fee" on your closing statement, you have the right to ask what it covers. Some firms charge every single client a technology fee that vastly exceeds their actual software costs. If a firm is collecting $24,000 a year in tech fees for a system that costs them $3,000, that isn't overhead—that is profit made on your dime. At my firm, we believe in transparent, flat pricing. You pay for our legal expertise, and we cover the cost of doing business. No hidden fees. No surprises.

When I was admitted to the bar, I swore an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution—not a party or a president.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Constitutional principles—due process, equal protection, and limits on power—are meant to protect all people on our soil, not just some.

Speaking when those principles are ignored is not political. It is fidelity to the Constitution and to the moral legacy Dr. King demanded this nation live up to.

Being a lawyer, I always felt funny about soliciting “reviews”. It just never felt genuine to me. I value any organic review or praise over one I had to farm But…what I do often get are emails like this, that never make it to a Google review or anything in the public eye. So, I’m sharing because it’s special and real…because I love truly connecting with my clients on a real personable level. This client and I connected, and I enjoyed sitting with her and chatting about everything beyond the closing. I’m not the quintessential attorney, I have no “box” that I even care to check or fit in, but I pride myself on being real, unpretentious, true to myself and perhaps removing myself, on purpose, from what everyone thinks attorneys “should” be, but to a beautiful fault. I own that, and I carry it proudly. Thank you to my sweet client that allowed me to be a part of this difficult transition of selling a property of deep family sentimental value.💛
