Law school felt like a practical decision that would lead me to a good career, and a way to help provide for myself and my family. I had no idea it would turn into a life spent in the middle of some of the hardest moments people ever face.

From prosecutor to public defender to private attorney - every chapter has shaped how I show up for my clients. I’ve sat across from people who felt invisible, unheard, and written off. And I’ve had the privilege of being the person who said “I see you, and I’m going to fight for you.”

I didn’t walk into law school thinking I’d find a calling. But here we are.

Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. ⚖️♥️

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I’m proud to share that I recently completed the QPR Su***de Prevention Gatekeeper training. QPR — Question, Persuade, Refer — equips people to recognize the warning signs of a crisis and connect others with the help they need.

As an advocate, I work alongside clients who are navigating not just legal challenges, but real mental health struggles. Advocacy means seeing the whole person — not just the case. If you or someone you love needs someone to talk to or legal support navigating a difficult situation, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to listen. 💚

Early morning Trial Docket. The first of my cases from my new contract with the Public Defender’s Office to make it on the docket. No trials for LBL clients this go round - let the negotiations continue.
