🫆Your digital footprint is real!

A private account or disappearing post doesn’t mean it’s gone for good. Posts can still be screenshotted, saved or shared and even come up in a legal situation.

Think before you post, your future self will thank you!

👯‍♀️The recipe for a successful roommate relationship:

Choose your roommates carefully, get your lease reviewed by SLS, sign a roommate agreement (link in bio), get your own renter’s insurance and communicate early and often!

🚩 Spot the red flags. Stop the scam.

Before you click, pay, or respond, take a moment to verify who you’re dealing with. Go directly to official websites or apps instead of using links you receive, double-check unexpected claims, and never share personal, financial, or university credentials with someone you don’t trust.

Most importantly, don’t let pressure make the decision for you. When in doubt, make SLS your first call. 📞

Put renter’s insurance at the top of your on- or off-campus move-in checklist! 🏠

**Your landlords coverage often protects the building, not your personal items like your laptop, phone, clothing, or furniture.

Renter’s insurance can be more affordable than you think!

1) If you already have car insurance, ask your provider about bundling policies to potentially save money.
2) Many renter’s insurance policies cost around $10–$20 per month, depending on your coverage and situation.

Don't wait until an emergency to wish you had one. ❤️

Once you turn 18, you are legally considered an adult. A Healthcare Power of Attorney (HPOA) lets you choose someone you trust to help if you're ever unable to speak for yourself.

The best part? Student Legal Services will draft it for you.
Protect yourself. Protect your future. Get your HPOA. ✔️
