Fun fact: A hundred years ago, the Kootenai County Courthouse was completed just across the street. From the office couch, you can look out at what used to be the train tracks and the tunnel that ran alongside the grounds. Lots of history in this neighborhood! 😁

Every child deserves a safe, stable, and permanent home - and CASA volunteers help give children a voice throughout that journey. ❤️

While North Idaho’s population has increased steadily in recent years, fewer suspected child abuse and neglect cases have been assigned a court-appointed special advocate, a trend that local advocates for foster youth said doesn’t necessarily mean fewer children are experiencing abuse.
