NWLSD has developed a multi-year Potential Reductions Plan outlining changes that would be needed to operate within approved financial parameters if additional funding is not secured to maintain current operations.

Priya, a seventh grader at Pleasant Run Middle School, has had a strong start to the school year after overcoming challenges last year. And through it all, Mrs. Bailey has been in her corner.

Mrs. Bailey describes Priya as a determined young lady who works hard and wants to succeed. For Priya, Mrs. Bailey is someone she knows she can turn to for advice, support, and encouragement.

Having a go-to adult at school who knows you and believes in you can make all the difference!

Attention 10th Graders! It is time for you to explore what Butler Tech can offer you at NWLSD! We will be hosting Sophomore Tours at CHS on Wednesday, October 14th. You will use the Google Form below to choose up to 3 programs to visit during the tours. You will be taken on tours through the CHS lab spaces to see the programs that are hosted at Colerain and have a chance to meet the instructors from Northwest High School to hear about the programs they have to offer. The Butler Tech Lottery will open on November 1st and you will have a chance to apply for both NWLSD Butler Tech Programs and Butler Tech Campus Programs. Tours of the campus programs will be coming up later in October. Stay tuned for that information! Fill out the form here: bit.ly/2026chstours
The deadline to fill out the form is Friday, October 9th. All responses will be turned off at the end of the school day on the 9th!

State Senator Louis W. Blessing III joined us at last week’s Board of Education meeting to address the Board and NWLSD community about the district’s proposed 1.5% earned income tax levy.

Senator Blessing also shared a letter outlining his perspective on the levy, including why he believes an earned income tax is the right approach for Northwest.

Another celebration for NWHS Homecoming Day! 🏈🎉

Congratulations to NWHS Football Coach Brandon Schon, who has been named the Cincinnati Bengals Coach of the Week presented by Paycor after the Knights’ Week 6 win over Mt. Healthy!

Coach Schon has helped lead the Knights to a 6-0 start, and the honor comes with $2,000 for the NWHS Football program courtesy of the NFL Foundation and Paycor.

🚧🏗️ New Colerain Elementary - September 2026 Construction Update

Another month, another milestone! The last concrete floor in the classroom wing has been poured, and heating and cooling units are in place on the top floor. The first section of steel roof framing is up over the Kitchen and Special Education areas. Block walls continue to rise in the classroom wing, music and stage areas, and gymnasium. Crews continue installing the building's "nervous system" (wiring, plumbing, and heating) on the lower level, while walls are framed on the main level. Outside, light pole bases are set and curbs are poured, ready for the base layer of parking lot asphalt in early October.
