Hamilton County Juvenile Court is launching a new initiative designed to connect court-involved youth with career training, mentors and educational opportunities.

The initiative, called Direct Line Careers, is the next phase of Judge Kari Bloom's "Summer of Discovery" program, which reached about 100 children.

Judge Kari Bloom recently hosted students from The and Leadership Institute, a non-profit that works with high school students from under served communities throughout Ohio to teach them about and prepare them for careers in the legal profession.

A total of 18 students, freshman through senior years, representing nine local high schools attended. Thank you to these future leaders for taking time to meet with us and learn more about the juvenile justice system.
