A question worth asking before your next grocery run:
Is the bottled water in your cart actually keeping your family safe?
Here's what the research has found in just the last two years:
βͺοΈ A 2024 Columbia University study found an average of 240,000 plastic particles per liter of bottled water β 90% of them nanoplastics, particles so small they can enter human cells
βͺοΈ A 2026 Ohio State University study found some bottled water brands contain roughly 3x more nanoplastics than treated tap water
βͺοΈ Researchers have detected these particles in human blood, placentas, and even brain tissue
βͺοΈ Early research links exposure to inflammation, hormone disruption, and neurological effects
The FDA still says there's no proven health risk β and that's true. But "no proven risk" is not the same as "proven safe." It often just means the research hasn't caught up yet.
