I am a firm believer in giving back and particularly passionate about women/girls fitness and animal rescue resources. Often you will see me working with the Track Club Women's Four Miler Training Program. Wearing a tiara and tutu is not for everyone, but when I get to work with over 1,500 women & girls each summer to get them moving and raise funds and awareness for the UVA Breast Care Center - it IS the only outfit to have! Also, I donate a portion of each commission to local animal groups on behalf of my clients. Currently I donate to Virginia Service Dogs and Ring Dog Rescue and Green Dogs Unleashed. I love "Cville", walking around the quaint shops downtown, tasting the freshness of a peach or apple fresh off a tree in Crozet, taking in a local or national performer in one of the many local venues, wine tasting or taking in a sporting event at Mr. I adore the fact we are only short drive to our nation's capital or the ocean, yet our surrounding mountains allow for fairly tempered weather and amazing outdoor living and beautiful seasons! The variety of people who make up this much sought after place to live includes everything from college students and academia, to military personal and celebrities, everyone wants to love where they live and they choose Charlottesville! Often ranked in the top tier of "Best Of Places!"

5 Summer Hazards Every Pet Parent Should Know

🌡️ Hot pavement: If you can't hold your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, it's too hot for paws. Signs of burns: limping, licking paws, red or blistered pads.

💥 Fireworks anxiety: More pets go missing around the 4th of July than any other time of year. Signs of anxiety: panting, pacing, destructive behavior, attempts to escape.

🍖 BBQ hazards: Corn cobs, onions, grapes, and xylitol (in sugar-free condiments) are toxic or dangerous. Bones can splinter and cause internal issues.

☀️ Heat exhaustion: Heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, and vomiting are warning signs. Short-nosed breeds (bulldogs, pugs) and older pets are at the highest risk.

💧 Dehydration: Pets don't sweat. Try the scruff test: pinch the skin at the back of the neck — if it doesn't snap back immediately, your pet may be dehydrated. Dry gums are another early sign.
