The Colorado Supreme Court just ruled that judges can reduce a parent's time with their child down to almost ZERO, and it’s only considered a "modification"—not a "restriction."
What does that mean in plain English? It means a judge no longer has to meet a super high legal standard (like proving a parent is dangerous or abusive) to take away nearly all of their nights with their kids. They just have to decide it’s in the "best interest" of the child.
This makes the family court system an incredibly risky place for moms and dads. With no strict legal boundaries keeping a judge from slashing your time, walking into a courtroom is like rolling the dice on your relationship with your kids.
This is exactly why couples need to stay out of court. Divorce is incredibly hard, but letting a stranger in a black robe make rules for your family is a massive gamble.
