This sale is a great example of why strategic preparation matters.

This particular home was in a slower niche market where the average days on market exceeded 80 days. Rather than simply listing the property “as-is,” my client trusted my recommendations to make targeted improvements that would create a stronger first impression for buyers.

Together we:
• Removed dated wallpaper
• Professionally cleaned the carpet
• Updated lighting fixtures
• Professionally staged the most important rooms

In this case, my client was across the country while selling a longtime family home here in Michigan. From coordinating details behind the scenes to preparing the property for market and navigating the process from start to finish, my goal was to make everything feel as seamless and supported as possible.

I never expected that partnering with CEW+ at U-M (Center for the Education of Women+) at the of Michigan to help design, curate, and teach their first-ever home buyer education course would blossom into the meaningful relationship it has today.

What started as a single opportunity to educate and empower women navigating major life transitions has grown into something far more impactful. From volunteering on the scholarship review committee to celebrating graduates at this year’s reception and attending the Michigan Medicine Women’s Health Luncheon as an honored guest, it has been incredibly rewarding to support an organization that is truly changing lives.

As a business owner, experiences like these matter deeply to me because real estate has never been just about transactions. It’s about education, advocacy, stability, and helping people create opportunities for themselves and their families. Organizations like CEW+ remind me why I care so deeply about the work I do and the community I serve.
