We are incredibly proud to share that Feroleto Law attorney Kate Feroleto has been selected as a recipient of the Compassionate Counsel Award from the Milestone Foundation.

Kate will be honored at the Foundation's annual celebration and 10-year anniversary party on July 25 in Chicago, held in conjunction with the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Annual Convention.

This award recognizes attorneys who not only fight tirelessly for justice but also lead with compassion, empathy, and unwavering support for the people they represent. Those values have always been at the heart of Kate's practice.

Whether she is standing beside a family after a devastating truck crash, advocating for safer roads, mentoring fellow trial lawyers, or fighting for meaningful changes to protect injured people, Kate believes that every client deserves to be heard, respected, and treated with dignity.

Receiving the Compassionate Counsel Award is a tremendous honor, and one that reflects the trust our clients place in us every day.

🚂There was a lot of excitement in Buffalo this week as the legendary Big Boy steam locomotive rolled into town as part of the celebration of America's 250th birthday.

Joel Feroleto took his son to experience this incredible piece of living history, including standing on the rear platform where President Franklin D. Roosevelt once delivered speeches during whistle-stop campaign tours. It's amazing to imagine the history that passed through our city by rail.

The visit also reminded us of our own family's railroad roots. The blurry photo is of our great-grandfather, Joseph Gauthier, who worked as a conductor on the Canadian Pacific Railroad based out of Calgary, Alberta many decades ago. Railroads didn't just connect cities—they connected generations of families, including ours.

History has a way of bringing the past and present together. Watching a new generation experience these remarkable machines while remembering those who helped keep them running makes moments like this even more meaningful.

We are proud to share that University at Buffalo School of Law honored John Feroleto posthumously with the Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice at last week’s annual alumni dinner.

John dedicated his career to the pursuit of justice and to the Buffalo community he loved, and this recognition is a powerful reflection of the impact he made on our profession and beyond.

We also extend our sincere congratulations to all of the other award recipients recognized that evening—your accomplishments reflect the very best of the legal community.

We are grateful to see John’s legacy celebrated and will continue to carry forward the values he instilled in all of us.
