With our continued growth, we are thrilled to announce the addition of our newest Associate Attorney, Laine Hochhalter! Laine brings her strong client advocacy skills to KLH Advisors PLLC and has already been instrumental to our team in her first few weeks.

Before KLH Advisors, Laine worked for a local Missoula firm practicing general litigation where she had the opportunity to work all stages of litigation, including appellate briefing before the Montana Supreme Court and complex motion practice and oral advocacy before the Montana District Courts. Laine is excited to pivot her litigation experience with KLH Advisors to ensure clients’ interests are protected and properly advocated during all stages of the legal process. She received her J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law where she was a member of the University’s trial team, competing in both her second and third year of law school and finishing with her partner as regional quarter-finalists for the Regional Trial Competition. When Laine isn’t working, she enjoys hiking with her dog, playing card games with her partner, and baking treats in the kitchen.

In the continuing saga of fast-moving decisions, FinCEN’s CTA reporting requirements are back on hold.

On December 26, 2024, the U.S Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit vacated the previously reported stay it granted just three days prior and reinstated the nationwide injunction of FinCEN’s CTA and its reporting requirements.
