Sometimes a Thursday is just as heavy as Monday.. sometimes worse.
Many of us are working hard to provide for our families - and sometimes that means we don't get a day off. Even if we do have "the day off", we are riddled with guilt.
Guilt that we aren't doing enough for work. Guilt from the week, feeling like we have neglected our families.
We don't get rest.
For so long we felt so alone in this - but the more we talk with clients and friends the more we realize that we all may be experiencing this.
While we love working for our clients and providing a beautiful life for our children, we also know that you cannot pour from an empty cup - but many of us do. It is nothing short of a miracle. If you haven't heard this lately - YOU are a miracle.
You. The single parent trying to find that extra hour in the 25-hour day. You. The people pleaser who feels like no matter how much you do it is never enough. You. The person riddled with guilt for just taking 5 minutes to breathe.
It's hard to find rest. We are still trying to learn this and encourage those in our life struggling with the same thing. So tonight, as we go into Friday amd the "weekend" (whatever that is suppose to mean). . . we want you to know you aren't alone.
When you face tomorrow feeling just as worn out as you did on in the middle of the week. When you fill your coffee cup for the 4th or 5th time or grab that extra Red Bull... you are one of many. And if there are so many of us maybe we can reach out to a friend or co-worker and just encourage them with some simple words.
"You matter." "You're important." You're enough." "You're appreciated."
Sometimes, rest is just knowing we are loved. It is amazing the strength we can gather from the ones around us.
