What happens if you are hit by an uninsured driver?

Your own auto insurance policy may provide Uninsured Motorist (UM) or Underinsured Motorist (UIM) coverage.

This coverage can potentially help if you're injured by:

🔹 A driver whose insurance isn't enough to cover your damages
🔹 A hit-and-run driver

And you're not necessarily limited to pursuing the person who caused the accident. Depending on your policy and the circumstances, you may be able to make a claim under your own UM/UIM coverage.

Montana workers’ compensation is generally a no-fault system. That means you typically don't have to prove that your employer did something wrong or was negligent to receive workers’ comp benefits for a qualifying work-related injury.
