Ended 2025 on a high note when I got to hang out with one of the kiddos I represented earlier that year because she told her parents "I really need to talk Ms. Allyson" and we got to catch up on some things that were bothering her. Even better that we did that around horses at The Houston Polo Club. Little did I know at the time, that this is a preview of some things that are coming this year! Stay tuned!!

I was the amicus for a kid who was really struggling due to his parent's custody case and some other issues. He just stopped going to school and essentially shut down. With the help of our fearless mediator, Alice O'Neill, we found him a new school that could accommodate his needs. That was 6 years ago. One of his teachers takes my yoga class and I found out that he graduates today and that he has been accepted to a top engineering program at one of the most competitive colleges for engineering. This is what he wrote about his journey at the school we helped him get into. Gosh, I love my job.
