Yes... That's my dad! Just from that information alone you should know that this was a good episode. He's a great historian and storyteller, but just a warning: you never know where he's going to take the conversation. Woody was dying laughing in the corner the whole time we talked!

Garrett & Garrett is a small-town law firm that was started by Dad and Papa (Harry W. Garrett, Jr.) in 1992. Papa passed away in 2010, but the second Garrett and real brains behind the current operation is my mom, Heather. Garrett & Garrett is most well-known for criminal defense work but can offer services for just about anything, with the exception of bankruptcy, federal cases, and real estate. Dad takes particular pride in his family casework, too.

Before 116 E. Main Street was Garrett & Garrett, it was home to Bedford Federal Savings & Loan, which was started by Gardner Bond (a connection that piqued my interest, as his grandson, John, is one of my dad's best friends and his great-granddaughter, Caroline, is of one of my best friends). The Bedford Federal vault is still prominently featured at the office, and its history, among many other things about my family and Garrett & Garrett, were all revealed to me for the first time during this episode.
