"MEET THE SELLER OPEN HOUSE" TODAY, from 2-4 PM.

This colonial home is located at 1233 Perkins Road, across from City Park in Kleinert Terrace. The seller, Mr. Ralph, will be available to answer any questions you have about the home. He purchased the home from the Exxon Corporation in 1984, when it was being used as a local landing place for its executives traveling to Baton Rouge.

Mr. Ralph, an artist and a colorist, worked in the film industry in New Orleans and has left one piece of Hollywood history still remaining in the home that many have enjoyed over the years. (Drop by to discover it.)

One example of the seller’s whimsical artistry can be found in his grandson’s bedroom, where a wallpaper-like mural features curious visitors peeking around corners from the Audubon Zoo and blends in with the oak tree outside the window connecting the two.

Step outside to discover a truly creative escape… a serene courtyard framed by palms and centered around a cozy bistro table; the space is anchored by an impressive 8-foot concrete wall transformed into a breathtaking mural inspired by Monet’s Lily Ponds, bringing a touch of fine art into the open air.

Mr. Ralph has a true gift for turning the everyday into something memorable and meaningful for others to enjoy. The home has that Southern charm, so whether you’re drawn to jazz, cinema, or the vibrant artistry of New Orleans, this property invites you to become part of its next chapter.

Don't allow home repairs to ruin your summer plans!
As a Realtor, I'll admit that I sometimes get so focused on helping buyers find the right home that I forget to mention one of the most valuable benefits I offer: a home warranty.

Earlier this year, one of my buyers told me her brother had received nearly $20,000 in covered repairs over several years through his home warranty. Hearing that reminded me just how important this protection can be, especially for new homeowners.

I immediately connected my buyers with Melissa Wall at Old Republic Home Protection, and I'm glad I did. Since moving into their home this January, they have already received approximately $4,500 toward covered repairs!

Think about that for a moment. Most buyers have depleted a large portion of their savings on their down payment, closing costs, moving expenses, and furnishing their new home. An unexpected repair can put a real strain on a family's budget.

While a home warranty may not cover everything, it can provide tremendous peace of mind and potentially save homeowners thousands of dollars when major systems or appliances fail.

If you're buying a home, be sure to ask about your home warranty options before closing. It may be one of the best investments you make in protecting your new home.

These may be the last tomatoes from my
little potted tomato plant. 😞
This one plant has given me more fresh tomatoes than I ever expected.

And how satisfying about picking food you’ve grown yourself! 🥰. For those in the know… is the end or should I expect a few more tomatoes before the season is over?? And if so, what do I do with the plant?

~If at all possible, save that refund and use it toward the purchase of a home instead of continuing to pay rent.
~Unless your home is paid off, you’re going to spend housing dollars somewhere every single month. Why not invest those dollars back into yourself?
