Every August, I convince myself that I have plenty of time.
Plenty of time to finish the landscaping project, organize the garage, or tackle that one project that's been sitting on my to-do list since spring.
Then school starts...
The practices begin. The games fill up the weekends. The calendar somehow goes from wide open to completely booked in what feels like a matter of days.
Then, it's October, the weather has changed, and that project is still sitting there waiting for "the next free weekend."
One thing I've learned over the years is that homeowners often underestimate how quickly life speeds up once fall arrives. August feels like there's still plenty of time left, but in reality, it's often the last month before schedules become much harder to manage.
If there's a project you've been putting off all summer, consider this your sign to start it now instead of waiting for the perfect time.
Because if you're anything like me, future-you will be very thankful. What's one home project you're hoping to finish before summer officially comes to an end?
