Applications are now open for the Robert W. Calvert American Inn of Court!

The Calvert Inn brings together lawyers and judges across all experience levels and practice areas for a monthly mixer and dinner CLE focused on mentorship, professional excellence, civility, and collegiality in the practice of law.

We were the first American Inn of Court established in Austin and have received Platinum recognition from the American Inns of Court. Membership is limited and the application process is competitive.

Applications are currently being accepted for membership for the 2026 to 2027 Inn year. The Inn will meet each month from September through April.

Successful applicants are admitted as:

- Associates: licensed less than 8 years
- Barristers: licensed between 8 and 20 years
- Masters: licensed more than 20 years

We are especially interested in applications from attorneys who have been practicing up to 8 years.

Applications for the 2026-2027 Inn year are due May 31, 2026.

To apply, send a letter of interest, resume, and two recommendation letters to Shelby O’Brien ([email protected]) and Kevin Terrazas ([email protected]).

We had a wonderful morning for our 7th annual half day fee ethics CLE-a partnership between the Austin Bar Association and The Robert W. Calvert American Inn of Court. This year's theme was "Ethics Story-You Have a Friend in the Rules."
