I requested public information from Henderson County—-“This request concerns the Henderson County Subdivision Regulations approved and
accepted by the Henderson County Commissioners Court on or about October 8, 2024,
including all records relating to their drafting, adoption, interpretation, administration,
enforcement, and impact. The request is intended to obtain information necessary to
evaluate whether the regulations, as adopted or implemented, may affect the availability,
affordability, or accessibility of housing for persons protected by the federal Fair Housing
Act, including disparate-impact principles recognized in Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs v. Inclusive Communities Project, Inc., 576 U.S. 519 (2015), and the
Texas Fair Housing Act, Chapter 301 of the Texas Property Code.”

County Attorney Ken Strawn’s office wants over $108,000 to release the requested information.
