A luxury penthouse at the JW Marriott Residences in Reston has set Virginia’s record for the most expensive condominium sale, closing for $10.25 million.

The buyer combined two penthouse units into one 5,768-square-foot residence on the 27th floor, with more than 2,000 square feet of outdoor balcony space. The building itself is a 28-story tower above the JW Marriott hotel.

The residence sits directly above the Wiehle-Reston East Silver Line Metro station and is minutes from Dulles International Airport. Views stretch across Northern Virginia and toward Maryland’s Sugarloaf Mountain. The sale nearly doubled Virginia’s previous condo record of $5.65 million, set by a Rosslyn condo in 2024.

After all that walking, we headed to the Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia⁠ Hilton Garden Inn - Center City to recharge before round two!

🧀🔥 STOP 5: THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK!
You can’t come to Philadelphia and NOT try a cheesesteak! 😂

We set out to try the famous Philly cheesesteak and ended up at Pat’s King of Steaks, the legendary spot credited with inventing the cheesesteak. 🥩🧀🥖 Pat's King of Steaks

And yes… we had to settle the ultimate Philly question:

We went with Pat’s this time. Next Philly trip, maybe we’ll finally try Geno’s Steaks and see which one gets the family vote! 😂
