Dear Residents,

We are pleased to inform you that the Boil Water Notice has officially been lifted, effective October 8, 2026, for all affected housing areas.

Bioenvironmental Engineering has confirmed that laboratory test results returned negative, and the necessary corrective actions have been completed to ensure water quality meets safety standards. Residents may now resume normal water usage without boiling water prior to consumption.

Please see the attached official rescission notice for additional details and a complete list of affected streets.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout this process. Thank you to our Civil Engineering and Bioenvironmental Engineering teams for their continued efforts in restoring services safely.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our office.

Dear Residents,

We have received an updated Boil Water Notice from Bioenvironmental Engineering for East Base Housing. The updated notice includes Michigan, Arizona, and Louisiana as additional affected streets.

As a reminder, the boil water notice remains in effect until further notice. Residents should continue to boil water prior to consumption, including for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and other applicable uses. Water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil for two minutes before use.

Please review the updated notice attached for the complete list of affected streets and additional guidance.

We will continue to share updates as they are provided and will notify residents once the boil water notice has been officially rescinded.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Dear Residents,

We understand the previous notification was concerning for our residents, and we truly understand the impact a boil water notice can have on your daily routines. Our residents’ safety and well-being are always our priority, so we asked CE to provide some additional clarification about the notice and what residents can expect.

Per CE:

The repairs our WFSM team made today fixed a branch line connected to the east housing water distribution loop.

For the repair, they were able to isolate the branch line to minimize the number of facilities without water for the duration of that repair.

Once the repair was complete, the branch line was connected back to the entire east housing water loop. It is standard protocol to test the water after such connections to ensure no contamination occurred during the repair and following reconnection. Until that test is complete proving no contamination, a traditional safety measure is to implement a boil water notice.

Because the repaired branch line is now reconnected to the overall east housing loop, any contamination would impact the entire loop. Thus, the boil water notice is implemented for the entire loop regardless of whether serviced facilities were impacted by the outage or not.

Because the branch line was isolated during the repair, streets/residences not affected by the outage earlier today were not under a boil water notice during the repair. The boil water notice only goes into effect after the repaired line was reconnected to the rest of the loop.

This is a standard protocol to ensure the safety of our residents. As soon as we have the water tested to confirm no contamination, we will lift the boil water notice.

We understand that this impacts residents’ abilities to conduct daily activities such as cooking, bathing, etc. We ask for your patience as we encountered some unforeseen events today which delayed completion of the repair and the ability to test the water after completion. We’re working to ensure the water is tested ASAP in the morning and will update everyone at that time.

Dyess Family Home(s) Residents,

Dyess Family Homes has received the attached official Boil Water Notice from Bioenvironmental Engineering following today’s water main repairs and associated loss of water pressure.

Per the notice, residents within the identified East Base Housing streets are advised to boil water prior to consumption, including drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing hands/face. Water intended for consumption should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil for two (2) minutes and allowed to cool before use. Bottled water may also be used as an alternative.

Please review the attached notice from Bioenvironmental Engineering for the complete list of affected streets and additional guidance.

The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until public water system officials confirm the water is safe for normal consumption. Dyess Family Homes will provide an additional notification as soon as we receive confirmation that the notice has been rescinded.

We understand today’s water disruption has been an inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as Civil Engineering worked to complete the necessary repairs. Thank You.

IMPORTANT RESIDENT NOTICE – FRONTIER MEADOWS

Water Service Restored | Boil Water Notice in Effect

Dear Frontier Meadows Residents,

Water service has been restored to Frontier Meadows following today’s water line repair. However, Bioenvironmental Engineering has issued a Boil Water Notice for the affected area until further notice.

Residents should boil tap water before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing hands/face, or other consumption purposes. Water used for drinking or consumption should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil for two (2) minutes and allowed to cool before use. Bottled water may also be used as an alternative.

Please continue following boil-water precautions even though water service has been restored. These precautions should remain in place until Bioenvironmental Engineering provides confirmation that the notice has been lifted. Dyess Family Homes will notify residents as soon as we receive the official all-clear.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding throughout today’s extended repair and thank our Frontier Meadows residents for their continued cooperation.
