Nearly Half of All Trucks Inspected by Texas DPS Placed Out of Service; Nearly 2,000 Violations Found in 351 Inspections

MENTONE, TEXAS — A commercial vehicle compliance operation by the Texas Department of Public Safety in the Mentone area turned up 1,935 violations across just 351 inspections, an average of 5.5 violations per truck, with nearly half of all vehicles inspected placed out of service.

138 weight violations with 46 citations issued.
