We are pleased to welcome Liang Liwen to Oaks Legal LLC. Called to the Singapore Bar in 2021, Liwen’s practice covers matrimonial and family law, private client disputes, civil and commercial disputes, real estate disputes, and criminal defence, with particular experience in divorce proceedings involving substantial asset pools and sensitive children’s issues. Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, she is well placed to assist a broad range of clients, including Chinese-speaking clients, and we look forward to the contributions she will make to our team and our clients.

Oaks Legal LLC was pleased to have Ong Hui Jing, David Chia and Zenglin Sheam attend the Mackrell International Legal Network Emerging Leaders Meeting in Kuala Lumpur from 12 to 14 March 2026. Bringing together emerging leaders from Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, the programme covered practical networking, building one’s professional “tribe”, recognising real opportunities, protecting intellectual property, the growing role of AI in legal practice, and the importance of managing stress and energy in demanding careers. The meeting, hosted with warmth and creativity by Ram Caroline Sha & Syah, was also a reminder that strong professional networks are built not only through formal sessions, but through shared experiences, culture, and genuine connection.

We’re excited to introduce our new Director, Darrell Low to Oaks Legal LLC!

Darrell brings years of experience in litigation, arbitration, corporate and shareholder disputes, employment matters, IP, insolvency, probate, and more. His work spans trials and appeals across all levels of the Singapore courts, as well as complex multi-country arbitrations.

He has represented numerous clients from global banks and listed companies to SMEs and individuals, and is well-known in the profession as a long-time advocacy trainer, Law Society committee leader, and contributor to Singapore Civil Procedure.
