🚨 U.S. OFFERS $100,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO ARREST & CONVICTION OF PAKISTANI FAHEEM AKRAM
U.S. authorities have announced a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Pakistani national Faheem Akram, who has been indicted in an alleged massive counterfeit-postage scheme.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Akram allegedly operated LabelsBank.com, which sold more than 5 million counterfeit U.S. postage labels, allegedly causing losses of over $126 million to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
Authorities allege that counterfeit postage labels were typically sold for around $2 each, regardless of a package’s weight, size, or destination.
Akram faces multiple federal charges, including conspiracy, offences relating to counterfeit postage labels, and wire fraud. U.S. authorities have also obtained a court order authorizing the seizure and shutdown of the website.
⚖️ Legal Note: An indictment contains allegations only. Akram is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
