SUPREME COURT FINES RTC JUDGE ₱18,000 FOR SIMPLE MISCONDUCT; CLARIFIES RULES ON JUDICIAL BENEFITS

The Supreme Court En Banc found Judge ### guilty of Simple Misconduct for ordering most of her staff to leave the court during office hours to attend to matters related to their new office site.

The incident stemmed from an anonymous complaint alleging that Branch ### was closed during office hours in violation of the court’s “No Noon Break” policy. The Court emphasized that judicial duties take precedence over all other activities and that court offices must remain open during official hours. She was fined ₱18,000.00.

While several personnel were cleared for merely following instructions, two employees were directed to explain their absence. In the same ruling, the Court issued comprehensive guidelines on the effects of administrative sanctions on judicial allowances and bonuses, including PERA, RATA, PEI, MYB, YEB, and Cash Gifts.

🛟📚📖👩🏻‍🏫 From Life Lessons to Legal Infrastructure: A Testament to Cooperative Savings 🏦💰

On January 24, 2026, the Sator & Razo Law Firm proudly sponsored the official book launch of "The Joy of Saving in the Coop" by Dr. Evelia R. Sator.

For the firm’s partners, this occasion held a significance beyond mere sponsorship. The principles detailed in Dr. Sator’s book served as the financial blueprint for the firm's own physical establishment.

During the construction of the HS Building, the firm's permanent home, the partners faced a challenge common in the legal profession: hesitation from traditional banks and delays in loan processing.

Yet, the project did not stall.

Guided by the values instilled by the author (mother of partner Atty. Harold Sator), the firm had long prioritized "living within one's means" and investing heavily in cooperatives. It was ultimately the accumulated savings and dividends from these memberships, rather than bank financing, that funded the building's construction.

The HS Building stands today as a concrete example of Dr. Sator’s teachings: that financial discipline and cooperative saving can turn long-term goals into reality.

Congratulations, Dr. Sator, on sharing this vital wisdom with the world.

Closing the year with a unique "Dacion en Pago." ⚖️

While most fees are processed via bank transfer, Atty. HS just accepted these two "associates" as payment in kind!

We’re officially ready for Media Noche - no "fowl" play involved, just pure appreciation for a job well done. 😇

Wishing everyone a prosperous and "fruitful" New Year from all of us! 🥂🐓

Wrapping up the year on a high note! ⚖️✨

Today marks our final day of full operations before the Christmas Eve and Day, and we’re closing this chapter with a significant milestone.

18 Years of Grateful Service. 🏛️

It began with mentorship. After passing the Bar in 2005, Atty. Harold R. Sator (Atty. HS) trained under the late House Rep. Atty. Baltazar Sator, before launching his solo practice in 2007.

Today, we celebrate 18 years of that practice and 6 years of the Sator & Razo partnership.

We’ve come a long way from our humble start at Suarez Plaza. Today, we serve you from our permanent home at the HS Building, standing proudly right next to the iconic New Christ The King Cathedral.

We are honored that Fr. Alex Adaya has blessed our offices every year for the last 18 years. We are equally proud of our staff, who we treat as family, with our most senior member walking this path with us for 13 years.

To our clients: Thank you for the trust, the referrals, and the prayers. We are here because of you.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🥂

Day of protest 💪✊🏼⚖️

⛓️‍💥🔖 Dismantling the Paper Walls: A Bonifacio Day Reflection
* Atty. Angelisa L. Razo

On this National Day of Protest against massive corruption, we are reminded that resistance takes many forms. Andres Bonifacio tore up his cedula to reject oppression. Today, we fight by tearing down the "paper walls" of a weaponized legal system.

If there is any credit our legal team can take for the release of political detainees within this year, it isn’t due to extraordinary litigation prowess. It was simply our presence. We used the system against itself by simply showing up.

🏢 The Architecture of Intimidation

For years, detention has been weaponized to stifle dissent. They threw voluminous case files - daunting stacks of paper designed to intimidate handling lawyers and exhaust public attorneys. To the untrained eye, it looked like mountains of evidence.

But we stood our ground. We looked closer. And we found that these mountains were built on air.

These files contained nothing of value. They relied on "phantom" warrants and witnesses who never appear during trial. It is a massive waste of judicial resources and a calculated strategy to sow fear.

🚨🧑🏽‍⚖️Using the Law to Break the Lawfare

We are dismantling this machinery using the rule of law itself.

1. Technology as a Truth-Teller: With the aid of AI, we audited these massive files to expose the "copy-paste" nature of the evidence - recycled narratives and repeated names that prove this was not laziness, but an intentional design.

2. The New Standard: We are leveraging the DOJ’s 2024 Rules on Preliminary Investigation and Inquest Proceedings. By elevating the quantum of evidence to prima facie with a reasonable certainty of conviction, we are forcing the system to filter out its own lies.

👀👁️ Visibility is Resistance

The cases collapsed because we were available for those few minutes when they were called.

When we push back, the facade crumbles.

As we commemorate Bonifacio Day and the National Day of Protest against massive corruption, we fight against a system that tries to silence dissent with paper walls and phantom threats.
