Last April 12, 2026, I had the privilege of joining the student led program (SLP) of St. Maryโs College of Tagum โ College of Law in a meaningful outreach activity in Brgy. San Agustin, Tagum City.
Through the 4K Program: โKahibalo sa Katungod, Kusog sa Komunidadโ, we shared legal knowledge with our indigenous peoples, empowering them to better understand and assert their rights. We also rendered free legal aid services, particularly on land concerns and birth certificate matters.
The activity was further highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the IP Tribal Community, represented by Datu Simproso L. Gomez, Jr., and the Dean of SMCTI College of Law, Dean Daniel Besina, LLM.
Initiatives like this remind us that ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐ค๐ฃ๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ค๐ข, but also about reaching communities and making justice more accessible to all. โ๏ธ
