Early this week, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated the extension of Nigeria's continental shelf while hosting the High Powered Presidential Committee on the project.

I was invited by Arise News, to provide some insight. The presenters thought the subject was a bit 'intricate' and pondered on the benefits to Nigeria.

I think harnessing the benefits is one of the main reasons for the creation of a Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, and we should expedite action with a clear plan.

What do you think?
