Here’s the simple difference between the two:

Licence Means = “You can use my work, but I still own it.”

Assignment Means = “I’m transferring my copyright ownership to you.”

So how do you avoid the drama? 👇

Before the job starts, put it in writing. Clearly state:

- Who owns the copyright?
- What can the client use?
- Can the creative reuse or resell the work?
- Is the copyright being licensed or assigned?

If you’re the client paying or the creative/techster creating, don’t leave the rights to assumptions.
