Do you want to start a business?

Your first step should be the CAC registration.

If you start a business, create a logo, stickers, bags etc.....this is fine. But what if your business name is not approved by CAC and this could simply be because someone else might have used similar name to register their own business.

It is inconsistent to change your business name after you have gained visibility and this is not good for business.

It happened to a client of mine.
He had a business name and had used it for years. When he wanted to register the name, someone else had already used it.

INVESTMENT PROPERTY
An investment property is real estate property purchased with the intention of earning a return on the investment either through rental income, the future resale of the property, or both. The property may be held by an individual investor, a group of investors, or a corporation.

An investment property can be a long-term endeavour or a short-term investment. With the latter, investors will often engage in flipping, where real estate is bought, remodelled or renovated, and sold at a profit within a short time frame.

ASSETS
A real asset is a tangible investment that has an intrinsic value due to its substance and physical properties. Commodities, real estate, equipment, and natural resources are all types of real assets

LAND MEASUREMENT
a. PLOT
According to the dictionary meaning of plot, it is a marked out piece of land for the purpose of building or farming. The word "plot" is an arbitrary term used to describe a land division carved out for property development.
The size of a plot of land can vary for different reasons but according to Nigeria's land divisions, the appropriate plot for a house construction is 100 x 50ft, however 120 ft x 60ft or 650 sqm is accepted.

b. ACRE
An Acre is a standard unit of measurement used by land sellers and it is almost an equivalent to the size of a standard football field. An acre is a product of any rectangular plot of land giving a total of 4,046sqm or 43,560sq ft.

c. HECTARE
A hectare is one of the least known metric units and one which potential buyers and estate developers seems to struggle with - it is a land measuring 100m x 100m or 328ft x 328ft. It is about two and half acres.

d. SQUARE METRE
The area of a square that is 1 metre on each side. It is used for measuring spaces, rooms, houses, land etc. For example, a room which is 5 metres on all sides of the wall, will be 25 square metres
